fault detector
TCA
The TCA has been designed to detect, in MV networks, faults having triggered the line main breaker, whether is overhead or underground. Applications include the following:

· Secondary substations.
· Reclosers in overhead lines where location, insulation and service restoration logics are required.

For a reliable detection (signaling after the fault takes place) an overcurrent, absence of voltage and directional conditions must be present to avoid mistaken indications due to capacitive currents, inrush currents in line branches and connections from self-generators.
