Database: all system configuration, captured and generated data is stored in the database of the main computer. The database structure is developed in a commercial application (Visual FoxPro). Data Capture: this function permits access to the different protection and recording IEDs installed in substations via a remote connection. Viewing Communicated Installations and IEDs: the communicated installations and IEDs are viewed via a set of graphical screens which make searching and system management more user-friendly. Viewing Protection IED Data: the application is capable of displaying data stored in the database from the protection and recording IEDs installed in the substations. Daily Report: a daily report is generated immediately after the automatic data capture process finishes. Chronological Event Log: record of access to installations and IEDs via communications; record of alarms detected, both from the application itself and the connected IEDs; user log, indicating the date and time of logins and logouts by each user. User Management: the application has a mechanism for managing user access, based on the identification of users and allocation of a password. Each user must enter their name, select the profile type and enter their password to access the management system. System Configuration: the user identified as the system administrator is able to configure all system options, including adding and/or removing and modifying installations and IEDs. Administration Processes: the user identified as the system administrator is capable of generating indexes on the database and carrying out and managing backups of the data stored in the system. Reindexing Indexes Reports. |
